Brush Clearing Services in Brodhead, Wisconsin
Professional Brush Clearing and Targeted Grazing Services in Green and Rock County
Lets face it, most likely your entire property isn’t perfectly manicured, fertilized lawn. You may have pockets on your property that are overgrown with weeds, buckthorn, or other bushes. This is where Season Land Care comes in. Maybe you want to clear out an area for a new home, or maybe you want to clear off a hiking trail around your property. Here at Seasons Land Care, we offer efficient and ecological brush clearing that can help with any space clearing project.
We offer two different types styles of brush clearing: Standard and Targeted Grazing.
Standard brush clearing involves brush mower, skid-steers, hedge trimmers and more. This can be extremely time efficient and cost effective on level, flat ground that doesn’t have many trees, large rocks or uneven terrain.
Targeted grazing is a more natural take on brush clearing. We bring our own sheep and goats, as well as source from local farmers, out to your property and let them graze on your property. Targeted grazing works great for uneven terrain or property with many obstacles. It is also a easier on the ground and helps preserve the land. Typically we use around 30 sheep per acre and they can get that cleared out in a few days. Targeted grazing is completely chemical free and is a more ecological option compared to our typical brush mowers.

FAQs
-
There is more preparation needed for the targeted grazing than for our Standard brush clearing. However, not as much as you may thing. We just need to fence off the area we are targeting. Dependent on how big of an area, this can take anywhere from a few hours to a couple days. After the area is fenced in, we can bring in the sheep and let them go to work.

The price is really dependent per job. There are some cases that it makes more economical sense to use our standard mower service and other times it is better to use the grazing. It is all dependent on the landscape and how many obstacles we need to work around.

We can typically get around 30 sheep into an acre sized area and they will get through it in a few days. We are able to either leave the sheep on site over night or, we can take them away and bring them back each day to finish the job. Usually folks opt for us to leave the sheep on their property not only because it is fun to wake up to a flock of sheep mowing down your brush but, they sheep can start eating earlier and stop eating later if we don’t have to bring them in and out.
